Lucia DiMarco
Freedom has always been the thread running through Lucia’s life and work.
Not freedom as an idea, but as a lived, embodied experience—a deep inner impulse to explore, to question, and to understand what it means to be fully alive and fully human.

From a young age, she was driven by curiosity: a desire to understand people, human development, and the unique potential each person carries within them. This curiosity became a lifelong journey—one that led her across cultures, multiple disciplines, and academic fields.
Drawn to creativity, movement, and the human spirit, Lucia travelled the world exploring dance as both self-discovery and anthropological study—from India to Spain and beyond. Alongside this, she trained in yoga and other ancient wisdom
traditions, deepening her understanding of the body, awareness, and human experience.

This exploration naturally evolved into education, where she worked as a teacher, mentor, and leader. Through Steiner-Waldorf teacher training and therapeutic pedagogy, her understanding of human development became more structured and integrated—bringing language to what she had long known intuitively: that human development is holistic, creative, and profoundly interconnected.
Lucia’s path has never been linear. It is dynamic and in constant dialogue with life itself.
Her work has expanded into senior leadership roles, including School Leader and Founder & CEO of an international festival, working at the intersection of vision, structure, and real-world practice. Across all her work, one principle remains constant: what feels impossible begins to shift when we move beyond limitation and into imagination.
Alongside her professional work, Lucia is also a mother of two boys and a writer—roles that continue to deepen and inform her understanding of creativity, education, and human development.

At the core of her work is a simple commitment:
the freedom to know oneself, to express one’s gifts, and to step beyond expectation into possibility.
Since 2006, she has used the professional and artistic name Lucia Zahara. In 2022, she began transitioning back to her birth name, which she now uses in her practice and creative projects.
Her work continues to evolve through an ongoing exploration of what it means to be human, in all its depth, creativity, and possibility.
